Abstract

This paper intends to undertake a review on the idea of justice developed
by Sandor Marai in his novel Divorce in Buda. This quest was realized
strictily by means of an intratextual reading of the work. In that manner,
this pages are ruled by the question ¿which notion of justice is present in
the content of a fiction novel like Divorce in Buda? Such answer was obtained after proper philosophical-literary, discursive and legal contextualizations, indispensable for this dissertation. Among topics worked here, it
is found: exordium, on durability of art works; philosophy and literature,
a possible meeting; on comprehension, an opportune clarification; on the
novel’s content; discurses on law and literary discurses; notion of justice
in a novel; conclusion.
