Digital preservation policy

Revista de Derecho is managed using the open-access software OJS (Open Journal Systems) from the Public Knowledge Project (PKP). This system is installed on one of the servers of the Universidad del Norte.

PKP offers free digital preservation services for the journal:

• PKP PNL (PrivateLOCKSSNetwork) service
• PKP PN (Preservation Network) service

Revista de Derecho uses DOIs (Digital Object Identifiers), which are persistent identifiers that ensure the link will preserve and guarantee the permanent accessibility of the digital objects hosted on its own servers:

• Backups.
• Monitoring of the technological environment to anticipate potential migrations from obsolete formats or software.
• Digital preservation metadata.
