Uses of information technology and communication (ICT) in a formal process of teaching and learning in Basic Education.

Abstract
The purpose of the research is to interpret the educational uses of information technology (ICT) in a teaching unit of teaching and learning. Theory is based on the sociocultural and constructivist learning principles as a set and systematic aid. Learning is considered a process of active construction of meaning and content and ICT, a semiotic aids mediator of joint activity between teachers and students to guide educational practices. The methodology is based on a simple case study: it is observed, recorded and analyzed a complete teaching unit based on the strategy of classroom teaching program comprehension and production of news. The event takes place in a classroom setting in four sessions, with the support of some technological devices. The results are analyzed from the technical and educational design review plan, identifying the uses of ICT are set to mediate understanding and learning of thematic unity,
