Formative research and its relationship with business companies and the state as part of the educational process.

Abstract
With the challenge faced by universities towards work that should advance both in the training of researchers and the generation of knowledge derived from research and its subsequent articulation with the productive sector and the development of state policies, this article analyzes the role of research, characterizes its different figures and presents a reflection on how the university Fundación Universitaria Colombo Internacional –Unicolombo- has structured formative research with business companies and the State in the context of university processes.
