This article shows a historical review of Popular Unity, a Chilean political party. It also discusses its government program in 1970, when Salvador Allende, the leader's party, was elected President of Chile. In the same way, it makes a balance of the most relevant aspects of Allende's government management: copper nationalization, formation of social area of economy, health, housing, agrarian reform, education, culture, international policy, among others. The article ends by describing Salvador Allende's personality distinctive features, and recognizes him as a consistent leader.
