La interpretación de la caricatura política: un asunto de cultura política
This article is intended to describe how a group of college students interpret political cartoons. For this purpose, the text is divided into two parts: the first is the interpretation of a sample model of Presidential Palacito (PP), Vladdo feature cartoon, published in Semana magazine every Sunday. To do this we have relied on the theory of illocutionary act of Austin, which refers to the communicative intent of a speaker, and Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA), which posits all scenarios of power overlap after socially constructed discourse. Then, we proposed a group of university students enrolled in the BA in Humanities and Spanish language, to make an individual interpretation of the same sample. At the end collate the interpretations made by the students, commenting in each case is written there, and analyze, by the degree of plausibility of the interpretations, the presence or absence of a political culture that allows them sufficient access to this genre comprehensively text constituted by the political cartoon.
