Learning from the experience of the Programme ALBAN to improve the cooperation in the field of higher education between European Union and Latin America

The main achievements and mistakes of the ALBAN scholarship programme are taken, in this article, as representative of the cooperation dynamics between the European Union and Latin America. On this basis, ALBAN’s most important results are analysed, synthetically. The objective of the article is to contribute to the design of more effective cooperation tools that can boost the relationship between the European Union and Latin America for the period 2014-2020.References
