Academic and personal factors related to the academic peformance of the business administration students at universidad de Sucre

Abstract
The Academic performance is an indicator that allows to know the results of performance and learning in students of a university. The objective of this research showed the relationship between the personal and academic factors and the academic performance of students at the University of Sucre. The studied variables were based on the work of Garbanzo (2007), Montero y Villalobos (2001), Beguet, Cortada, Castro y Renault (2001), Talavera, Noreña, Melgar, et al. (2006), Sotelo y Vales (2007), and others. The research was quantitative and with correlational order. The results showed that students with poor academic are being affected by some processes of teaching used by teachers to develop academic activities in the classroom and outside it and intrinsic motivation enhances their academic performance, as evidenced in the commitment to learn, control and selfefficacy.
