About teaching humanities in high school
Main Article Content
Abstract
This paper is about the need for the humanities classes and of philosophy. I don’t want to discuss about what “humanities” is; or whether the mathematics class includes humanities, neither to exhaust the whole topic. The principal aim is to approach to the importance that humanities have in the basic education and in the formative process of today’s young men and women. I do not try to compare the humanities with other topics recognized as more practical or concrete, but to identify the role of these areas in the essential function of the education.
