State of the art on the teaching of grammar
Main Article Content
Abstract
This article reports on an extensive bibliographical review on the teaching of grammar in the years 2014-2019. The information was searched in six databases through the expressions: tea- ching grammar, learning grammar and developing grammar, both in English and Spanish. Only articles presenting a pedagogical proposal were selected; they identified the language in which the work was focused, the target audience and the pedagogical proposals or strategies implemented. The analysis of the information was done through the qualitative methodology known as content analysis. The results show that higher productivity is associated with foreign language teaching in universities and that inductive grammar, ICT use, communicative grammar and cognitive gram- mar have been used as the main pedagogical approaches.
