The first section of this paper is a historical review of corruption in Latin America, emphasizing Argentina's case. Then, it states some possible defini tions of corruption and impunity and establishes the diverse environments in which corruption may occur. Based upon these definitions, the incidence of im punity on social sensibility and imagery is discussed by using Latin American instancer. Later on the ethical implications of these practices are discussed as well as social researcher's duty of taking sides by assessing and evaluating them from his/her own, oint of view. At last. is attempt to establish the relationship between politics and impunity, and justice and impunity. concluding that civilian's action is important for diminishing and putting an end to such practices.
