The first section of this paper is a historical review of the participation of the civil society in war in order to make a contrast between its scarce partici pation in the past and its increasingly greater intervention at the present, espe cially women and children's participation. The various forms in which children are involved as actors and are affected in an indirect way in the contemporary wars are exposed. As a conclusion, the author establishes the possible physical and psychological damages these children suffer and will suffer in their future lives. He also claims for the adults to pronounce against this situation.
